Laurent Nkunda

Laurent Nkunda is the former General in Armed Forced of the Democratic Republic of Congo. He is the current rebel leader of a faction operating in the province of North Kivu. Nkunda is sympathetic to the plight of the Congolese and Rwandan Tutsis. He was indicted for war crimes by the DRC government in September 2005 and is currently under investigation by the International Criminal Court.
