Ieng Sary

Ieng Sary was the deputy prime minister and foreign minister. He, like his wife, Ieng Thirith, has denied any involvement in mass murders.  Researchers and scholars believe that Ieng Sary was aware of the mass killings of Cambodians because he received numerous internal documents concerning the tortures and executions of suspected internal enemies.
